Academics.

What teaching + learning looks like at Novoschool.

We want school to be interesting. We believe it should be relevant and challenging. We dream of young people discovering the love of learning. Our aim is to uncover the curriculum* using a more personal and dynamic approach that ignites curiosity and helps students go beyond their expectations.

Personalised learning plans.

We are passionate about helping every student reach their potential. Our vision includes having young people pursue their interests through an educational plan designed to cater to the unique needs, strengths, interests, and learning styles.

Interdisciplinary methods.

Our vision includes having young people pursue their interests more effectively than they might in a more traditional setting. Part of this is by creating meaningful connections between subjects - letting skills, knowledge and curiosity blur the lines between conventionally siloed areas of learning. This is, after all, how we learn in the real world.

Real world learning.

Our aim is to facilitate frequent and ongoing real world, practical experiences for our learners. This could include real world learning through internships in local organisations and businesses or taking University subjects while they are still at Novoschool. We will also create direct links to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals so that students are able to connect theory with reality and impact in a global context.

We also want learners to understand deep time, and how a sustainable world can be pursued through understanding of Doughnut Economics.
